Term 1 2026 Community Clean-Up

Green Schools Collective Balmoral Beach Clean Up

The Green Schools Collective held its first community clean-up of the year at Balmoral Beach in Mosman before school on 27 February. While Clean Up Australia Day takes place Sunday, March 1st, Friday marked the official schools clean-up day.

Despite the rain, it was wonderful to see so many committed students from Redlands and Mosman Church of England Preparatory School join the event. In just one hour, we collected a significant amount of rubbish from the beach and surrounding bushland. Seeing the results of our efforts served as a great reminder that even a “clean” beach or park can always benefit from a clean-up.

We’d like to extend a special thank you to Felicity Wilson MP and the members of the Wyargine Marine Community Group for joining our efforts.

Our next community clean-up will be on Sunday, 24th May from 11am – 12:30pm. The meeting point is Athol Hall near Bradley Head. We hope to see you there!
